Week 29

Well, my friends, as of tomorrow I am 3/4 of the way through this pregnancy. WOW. I can't believe it. As of tomorrow there will be only 10 more weeks until our daughter's due date. WOW.

Last Thursday I left for Montezuma with my mom to spend the weekend at my grandparents place on Lake Ponderosa so that we could go junking at a flea market in What Cheer. Unfortunately, it snowed Thursday night and some of Friday morning & then started raining once the snow stopped, so a lot of the vendors didn't show for the flea market but there were still TONS of people in the buildings at the fair grounds where the flea market was being held. I didn't get much at the flea market but there was a ton of stuff I was drooling over! I kind of came into in unprepared. I wanted to buy everything, really. I did get some cute things, though, and my mom bought baby girl a chalkboard for her room. It's made out of an old cabinet door & it's the exact light aqua (?) shade that we are using in her room. We also stopped at a couple antiques stores where I bought a typewriter for her room and my mom got an awesome dresser. We left to come home Saturday and stopped at the Rex Nekola showroom in Toledo (check out his site here). His site is a nice starting point, but it doesn't do his work enough justice. IT IS AWESOME. I bought a few things from his store for the babies room and for the laundry room, which I will post eventually.

I had an awesome weekend. I definitely was feeling the payback of running around all weekend, though. Sleepiness hit me pretty early on Saturday night.

How big is baby? Baby Harnois is the size of a butternut squash! Baby is 15.2 to 16.7  inches big and 2.5 lbs to 3.8 lbs ! She's hiccuping and growing white fat deposits under her skin and her energy is surging because of it. She is a little cramped in there, since she's growing so fast.

Maternity clothes? I am wearing a maternity shirt in this photo! I bought a couple of maternity items for our pictures at the end of the month, too.

Sleep:
I'm back to waking up a few times a night again. WAH!

Best moment this week:
My mom finally got to see and feel baby move (something she's been fretting about since before I could feel the baby, I swear) & my sister got to see her move as well. And also, on Sunday, she was a little crazy lady do Andrew got to feel and watch her move for quite a while as she danced around in my belly. Apparently she was a little stiff from road tripping too!

Movement:
Yes, I love it.
Food cravings: NOPE.

Food Aversions:
NADA.
Gender: Little Baby Harnois is a GIRL!
Labor Signs: None

Pregnancy Symptoms: Exhaustion, peeing a million times a day, a wonderful, ever growing baby bump & as of lately... colostrum (early milk) leakage. Sorry, TMI.

Belly Button in or out? Out!

What I miss: Not having back pain, I do miss that. I forget what it's like to not have a sore back.

What I am looking forward to: Finishing up getting the rest of the 'big things' for baby. Working on the nursery. MEETING HER.

Upcoming appointments/events: Next appointment is our 32 week appointment on May 22nd. 2 more appointments after that before I start going in every week. Wow...

Weekly Wisdom: Water and protein = IMPORTANT.

Milestones: It's my last week in the '20's'!!!!!

Oh! As of my 24 week appointment, my midwife said our little
peanut was head down. At the last appointment my other midwife wasn't sure if she still was or not, but at this appointment my midwife confirmed that she's head down! Her head is nestled down by my pelvis, her back and body are along the right side of my stomach and the rest follows suit! I was 99% sure that is where she was anyway because of the way I had been feeling her and seeing her move. Nice to know that my intuition was right on that since I thought she was a boy for the first half of my pregnancy, whoops! LOVE YOU LITTLE ONE!
