Eisley Mae: Three Months Old

056

Eisley Mae Harnois
11 lbs 8 oz
24 1/4 inches long
Can hold herself up pretty well when stood up against something she can lean and hold onto, such as the couch. Still mostly happy and full of smiles all the time.

I’m not sure if it’s because her awareness has changed, but this month Eisley has started not liking being held by anyone but Andrew and I. She seriously sobs. We do try and get her around people, so I don’t think that it’s because she’s too ‘sheltered’ at home. She did pretty well when we had family in town last weekend, but this is something we’re battling with right now. Anyone else dealt with that? I’m not sure if it’s just a phase or something we should be nipping in the butt before it gets worse.

Loves dancing, being held up to stand, being talked to, singing. She loves being read to, eating, and the rattles and toys we got for her and started playing with this month. She’s loving using her hands to play or, more often than not, to stick things in her mouth.

Hates being held by anyone but mom and dad & teething. Which is totally okay because mama and daddy don’t like the teething either. We’re hoping that they go back down so her pain goes away. There’s nothing worse than seeing your little try so hard to push her binky into the side of her mouth while in tears because she’s in pain. Lots of snuggles have been had.

  1. Brayden went through the whole "I only want mom and dad" phase. He's just now starting to overcome it. Just keep trying, she'll pick her own people she trusts :)

    1. Thanks :) It's nice to know that we're not alone. Sometimes I feel like OH I AM TOTALLY TEH ONLY PERSON EVER WHOS BABY DOES THIS WAHHHHHH! We kind of slowly ease her into her enviroment and that seems to be helping a little.

  2. She is just too cute for words!!
For the teething, try teething tabs. The ones I have (can't remember the brand for the life of me!) are holistic. So, not chalk full of meds if that's not your thing. They were miracle workers when H's teeth actually cut through.

  4. Oh my GOSH, she is precious. I love her little Halloween outfit!
Mia rarely cries when someone else holds her. I wish I knew what to tell you :( Sometimes it's just their personality? Good luck, momma!
And teething is the worst! Mia just got her two top teeth and it was a week full of misery :(

    1. I wonder if it's because the one day she's been babysat we had to run out quickly. She's already doing better. We've tried easing her more into her enviroment first and she seems to do just fine when people hold her. It's just been an adjustment because she used to let people hand her around and didn't mind one bit!

  5. Aww, she is so beautiful. Teething totally sucks - I feel like it never ends. As soon as one tooth is through, the next starts coming before you know it :(

PS - LOVE your handwriting! :)

    1. They definitely went back down. She's still nawing on her hands still but she doesn't seem to be in pain which makes me feel better! We're definitely going to get teething tablets and an amber necklace or anklet for when it returns because we know it won't be long!

    2. And thanks! I used to be an obsessive writer and rewriter. I wanted things to look PERFECT. I still do it sometimes. I'm anal about my writing lol
