Week 37

Week 37! Well, one day left of it! Tomorrow is the 4th of July & I will officially be 38 weeks, which means we will only have 14 days left until our baby girls due date! I hope she doesn't decide to stay in there too much longer than that. My biggest challenge this week has been soreness. My feet (mostly my left foot) are swollen and painful, my hands are swelling & I've been having numbness and pain in my right hand and wrist as well, which is no fun. Baby girl's head is engaged now so when I finally manage to roll myself out of bed in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I can feel the pressure ten times more intensely than I normally do during the day. It isn't the most painful thing in the world, but it sure is uncomfortable. I shouldn't complain, considering I've had practically the easiest pregnancy ever, but I can't definitely say that I'm at the point in my pregnancy where I'm kind of 'over it'. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being pregnant, but I am sore and tired & I can't wait to meet her.

How big is baby? Baby Harnois is the size of a stalk of rhubarb ! Baby is 18.9 to 20.9  inches long and 6.2 lbs to 9.2 lbs ! She's practicing some skills such as inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping and blinking. She's getting her first sticky poop (meconium) ready for her first diaper.

Maternity clothes
? Yep.
Sleep: Up. All the time. The usual suspect. As expected.

Best moment this week:
We had a wonderful family shower! Our little one is DEFINITELY spoiled. Went to our 38 week appointment on Tuesday. Little one's head is engaged & I've been losing my mucus plug (TMI, but exciting!) so if I continue to lose it, my midwife may or may not do a cervical check at one of my next two appointments (permitting we go that long) so she has a better idea of where I'm at when I go into labor.

Movement: Yep! All the time. Love feeling my little wiggle worm move around.

Food cravings: Andrew and I are still having Icee pregnancy cravings. And yes, I said both of us. Hahaha.

Food Aversions: NADA.

Gender: Little Baby Harnois is a precious baby girl!

Labor Signs: Loss of MP & BH contractions.

Pregnancy Symptoms: Exhaustion, peeing a million times a day, a wonderful, ever growing baby bump.

Belly Button in or out? Out!

What I miss: A full nights sleep. Energy. Hands that aren't numb.

What I am looking forward to: Meeting our precious baby. That's all I can see right now.
Upcoming appointments/events: My 39 week appointment is on Monday. The fourth of July is tomorrow, which is really exciting!

Weekly Wisdom: Keep feet elevated and ice ice ice. -_-

Milestones: FULL TERMMMMM!
