Eisley Mae: 9 Months Old

Eisley9Months2

Eisley Mae Harnois
17 lbs 2 oz
27.5 inches long

So at the moment I am actually finally getting time to write this post, Eisley is 10 months old on the nose. Wow. I can’t even believe it. Time has flown by and I can’t believe that in only two months we will be celebrating her first birthday. Jeebus. We’ve wound down the chiro visits and unfortunately due to teething, Eisley has had a couple of spells. We’ve gone a little over a week without one, though and I’m keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way. She’s kept her nap schedule but has unfortunately still striking against night time sleep. I was really hoping that finding a good nap time schedule would magically return her to the baby who slept through the night until four months but no dice. Eisley continuing to be too brave for her own good but luckily for us her balance has improved so there aren't AS MANY head dives as there was before. She now is not only walking, but crouching down to grab things and standing back up without any support. I have a feeling she’ll be running before one, the little nut.

Eisley loves the Big Bang Theory theme song, baths, dancing, singing, getting her belly tickled with our noses, making messes, cake, straws, manicotti, waving goodbye, drinking water from my camelbak and hugs. She hates getting dressed and having her diaper changed, she hates being told no and she has a love-hate relationship with fighting sleep. We on the other hand hate it. Just throwing that out there.

She’s basically saying all the same words as last month but has added the repetitive use of the word “up” to her vocabulary. She’s trying really hard to get Chewy (puppa) to pay attention to her and constantly tries to pet him but he’s still trying to figure out his feelings about her. I know one day they’ll be best friends. I can FEEL it. Chewy just has to be assured she won’t eat him, basically. After 10 months he’s still convinced that’s going to happen apparently.

One of my favorite things is that Eisley laughs with us now. And laughs hard. She loves to laugh and you can see the joy in her face when she does something that makes us laugh. We’re so blessed to have her in our lives.
